I need a Web site ... what do I do?
1. You need to decide what information you would like to offer on your Web site. This can be as brief as one page describing who you are, where you are, what you do, and how to contact you, or it can be as comprehensive as you wish. You can include as many pages as you like describing your products and services or offering information you feel is relative to the needs of your customers and the general public.
2. You need someone to design your web site. That's us! We take your information and pictures, brochures, or other graphics and combine them to make attractive, readable, professional site. We’ll work closely with you to make sure you get what you want.
3. You will need to have someplace to store your Web site so they can be accessed by all Internet users. This is called a Web Hosting. You will also need to register a domain name (www.mybusinessname.com) for your business. There are many web hosting services available and most Web Hosting Companies will register your domain for you. This is also true for Domain Registrars. Many Domain Registrars will offer Web Hosting when you register your domain.
For some, this process can be a little daunting. As part of our service we can take care of this for you. 4. Next is to publish your Web site to the Web Hosting Company you have chosen. We'll provide you with your new Web site already to go on a disk so you can take it from there to the company of your choice to host your Web site. Or, as part of our service we can take care of this for you, too!. All we would need is access to your Web server so we can upload the files directly.
5. Once your web site is up and running, there will still be maintenance issues. Your services or prices may change. You may want to add pages or other services. Perhaps you need to make a few changes in the text of your pages. If you have someone in your company who is able to do this for you, you're all set. If not, you'll need someone to take care of these things for you. Well guess what! Yes we do that to! For a small monthly fee, we will take care of your site and see that it is kept up to date and that all elements are working together properly.
